Call for Volunteers!
Residents of Muirfield!
Your HOA and overall community is looking for volunteers to help with the rink this year. Due to other commitments our usual year after year volunteers cannot assist in the repairs and flooding of the rink for the 2023/24 season. Any help would be greatly appreciated as the task of maintaining the rink takes a lot of help and effort.
Some of the tasks required are:
- Regular repairs to board system, making sure screws are not sticking out, panels are secured properly, boards fastened to posts, etc.
- Netting is tightened down and large holes fixed.
- Multiple days of flooding, contacting the county so they can operate the hydrant (typically between 8-3pm weekdays)
- Storage of certain equipment, multiple lengths of hose, tractor sweeper, tires for light towers.
- Turning on and off light towers, filling towers with diesel (cost paid for by the HOA with receipts).
- Snow clearing of rink using sweeper and/or personal snow blowers.
