As of August 1, 2020, Wheatland County will take over operations of the Lakes of Muirfield (LOM) wastewater system on an interim basis. The County will continue to work with the LOM Homeowners Association (HOA) Board of Directors (Board) toward a permanent system.

The Lakes of Muirfield has a Home Owners’ Association legally incorporated in the province of Alberta. There is currently a process underway to dissolve the condo corporations (April 2022). Additional information can be found within the Architectural Controls and By-Laws.

Residents attending school up to grade 12 are bussed to Strathmore, via Golden Hills School Division. They supply the buses for both the public and catholic schools.

The Lakes of Muirfield are approved for approximately 700 units. This can change as Wheatland County is now the developer.
Only those that are billed for common property; e.g., electricity to run the gates. All unit owners are responsible for their own electricity, water/sewer, telephone, natural gas, etc.
Yes, each unit owner pays a monthly Homeowners Association (HOA) fee; which goes toward paying for the management company, gated access to the community, street lights and maintenance, landscaping, garbage pick-up, etc.
Our community has both Architectural Controls and Condominium By-Laws. As of April 2022 there is ongoing work to dissolve the condominium corporations and only have one HOA.
