A lovely September is ending, and October is just around the corner, so the HOA wishes all residents a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
2025 Annual General Meeting - Save the Date!
Tuesday, November 25, 2025, is the date for our next AGM at the Lyalta Community Centre. A full info package including 2024-25 financials, 2025-26 budget, and annual auditor’s report will be emailed to residents within the next few weeks along with registration and start times. All LOM Residents are not only welcome but urged to attend!
Volunteer Board Members Required!
Included in the package will be new Board Member Candidate Profile forms. Here is your opportunity to contribute to your community and have a say in how we shape the future of our wonderful Lakes of Muirfield. A number of existing Board members have agreed to stand for another term, but we have room and great need for more.
We won’t sugar coat it this is a busy Board. We’ll put you to work with a two-to-two-and-a-half-hour Board meeting once a month, mandatory participation on sub-committees that will require an additional hour, or perhaps two hours per week depending on project or time of year, and attendance at HOA sponsored events.
We have a lot on our plate and more coming, especially with the anticipated growth expected so if you wish to join us, please fill out the form when you receive the AGM package and forward to Katelyn Leslie before the deadline indicated.
October Municipal Elections - October 20th, Lyalta Community Centre
Every four years we have a municipal election. We are in Division 5, and our incumbent Councillor is Scott Klassen. Find more info on the candidates online at Meet the Candidates - Wheatland County and click on Division 5. (Or find it on WheatlandCounty.ca if the link doesn’t work).
Be sure you are registered! Are you registered to vote? If you are new to Lakes of Muirfield, or unsure, you may check online at 2025 Municipal Election - Wheatland County
Once on the webpage, scroll down to Information for Voters and click on Register to Vote – follow the prompts to see if you are registered.
As in any election it is important to inform yourself and make your vote count. If you are unable to vote on actual election day, there are advance polling days available. Find that information at the same link above.
Road Work Approaching Completion
At time of writing this update Ruby Rock has finished re-surfacing the Boulevard. Small repairs and speed tables are yet to be completed but it’s nearing the end, folks. We thank everyone for their patience and Ruby Rock for their professionalism.

This website, www.lakesofmuirfieldcommunity.com, has a full and extensive FAQ section that addresses the most common inquiries. It is a fully public site, and no login is required to access it, so please do not hesitate to check it out.
If you have any questions that are not included in the FAQ’s, email and we will be happy to answer, or refer you to where you may get the definitive answer to your question if, for example, it is an inquiry the County must respond to.
There is also a full partners page with referrals from LOM residents for trusted service providers for repairs and maintenance requirements around the house including but not limited to furnace/AC repairs, fire suppression systems maintenance, painters, contractors, roofers, and the list goes on.

Where do I obtain a copy of the bylaws?
The Lakes of Muirfield is under the authority of Wheatland County bylaws. They may be found here. For regulations outside the purview of Wheatland County, our Architectural Controls are in place and may be downloaded here.
HISTORY
Nearly two decades have passed since the approved Entitlement Process allowed for the phased development of more than 700 residences, a resort style golf course, and a small commercial component, north of the existing hamlet of Lyalta in 2005. In that time, the Lakes of Muirfield has faced more than it’s share of challenges, but we can now boast a vibrant, growing, and beautiful community that was well worth it. Want to learn more?
